Africa 10 x 10
My tenth journey to Africa took me across ten countries—São Tomé, Gabon, Angola, the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville), the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, and Malawi. I’ve now explored nearly half of the continent’s 54 nations. Across these lands, I encountered landscapes of staggering beauty and the enduring warmth of the African spirit—a strength rooted in community and resilience. Again and again, it rises above the challenges imposed by corruption and neglect, defying systems that stifle growth and silence possibility. This series, created over several weeks on the road, seeks to hold a glimpse of that quiet defiance that speaks to the heart of what makes Africa so profoundly alive.
