YOLO

I wrote and photographed a feature for YOLO Magazine reflecting on my return to Kenya, the first African country I visited at fourteen and how it has transformed for the better. The Masai Mara still held the windswept beauty I remembered—the same golden light, the same quiet rhythm, punctuated by the sounds of the wild. Decades later, that beauty endures, but the story has evolved. Women now lead safaris, manage lodges, and shape conservation efforts that honor both land and community. I had returned to the place where my African journey began, leaving with a renewed hope for Kenya’s future.
