My new favorite restaurant is Savoie in Tahoe City. I had the pleasure of photographing it just before it opened, after months of anticipation—and it’s been packed ever since. Owned by Mark and Alison Sullivan, chefs with Michelin-starred pedigrees, Savoie is a true family affair. They’re the brother and sister-in-law of my dear friend Annie Cobb, who designed the stunning interiors that make the space feel as warm and inviting as the food. And that Omelette Française (with morels and leeks) is still on my mind! If you’re anywhere near Lake Tahoe, Savoie belongs at the top of your list.
